Bubo... What a rattie full of surprises! She came to live with us on the 12th of May 2001. She was 6 weeks old. A sweet innocent little rat. On the 31st of May, she gave birth to 6 cute wriggly little babies! She was beaten up loads by Domdom at first, but it seems they have settled their differences now. Below is a slideshow of baby pictures and here's a video clip of the babies. They are such little darlings!! Sadly our little Bubo has left us on the 6th of November 2002. What a sad day :*( She had developed problems holding food with her hands and then lost balance so she was treated with steroids and Baytril as we suspected a pituitary tumour. On the 5th I went to give her her meds and she wasn't really lively, dehydrated and limp. So I gave her the steroids, hoping for an improvement, and she drank water from a syringe. The next morning she was lighter and limper than the day before, so we knew it was really time to say goodbye :( She will be sorely missed as our little Mum, and she will be remembered forever. Her memories live in our hearts. Sleep well little rat angel, we love you... xxx
